Happy Father's Day!

There is no better father around than this guy and no better gift for him than his son's State Baseball Championship win!!  We had a great (and oh so hot) weekend of AGGIE baseball which ended with us taking home the 5 foot tall State Champ trophy!!!

I am blessed beyond belief to have such an amazing husband and father!!

Saying goodbye to new friends

During the past year, our family was blessed to become friends with the amazing Moore's.  Ironically, they are missionaries in Ethiopia and have been home for the past year on furlough.  Carmen and their daughter Gwyneth, became best friends on the very first day of school in August and a friendship was formed by all.  They taught us so much about the country that we have come to love and so much about the love of Jesus Christ.  In just a few short days, they will be back in "the bush" of Ethiopia spreading the Gospel to the ends of the Earth.  It was so hard to say goodbye...but our loss is someone else's gain!  We plan to visit them when we travel to Ethiopia to pick up our son sometime in the future.  Until then our prayers will be with these incredible friends!

The last week of school...field trips and tornados

The last week of school brought many parties, filed trips and of course, tornados.  Drew celebrated with a trip around campus, followed by lunch at Eskimo Joe's and a tour of the Fire House led by his dad! Carmen sang Pre-K songs and played the part of the "little bear" in Goldilocks to end her first year of real school.
We spent an entire afternoon and evening with 25 other people in our basement as tornados blew across the state of Oklahoma and destroyed homes just a mile from ours.  When the power went out, we prayed and sang hymns by flashlight.  Many prayers have been lifted for those who were not as fortunate as we were.

Family Campfire

We did manage to sneak in a few much-needed family nights and took full advantage of the backyard fire pit.  It doesn't get any better than roasted hot dogs, corn and s'mores.  Just look......

Take me out to the ball game...and the soccer field!

Drew and Bella have kept our weekends busy playing baseball and soccer and there is nowhere we would rather be than watching them play their hearts out.  Drew's traveling team, the Aggies, have taken us to Edmond, Moore, Enid, and Bixby and a few more tournaments are yet to be played.

Drew (#2) getting his trophy at the end of a tourney!

Bella's soccer team, "The Mighty Green Victory" took first place in Spring soccer and she is now beginning a 3 vs. 3 traveling league with a great group of girls.  More to come with the "Fab 5"!

Easter 2011

He is RISEN...He is RISEN indeed!
Easter was a cold, rainy day, but we were filled with joy from the resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ!
We celebrated with family and had lunch and an egg hunt at "the cousins".

Somehow my little sassafrass turned TWO!!  This little girl has one GIANT personality!!

Major Catch-Up!

Okay, apparently the idea of blogging is much more appealing than actually doing it!  The last few months have been some of the busiest I can ever remember so I am attempting to highlight just a few moments in time.
With Spring, came lots of trips to the park, lots of picnics, and lots of bike riding.

(Carmen always has something silly up her sleeve.)
